ABOUT US
The Worcestershire Masonic Golfing Society (WMGS) was formed in November 1962 and held its first annual meeting at the Worcester Golf and Country Club in May 1963. The Society is open to all Worcestershire Masons, of any order who enjoy good golf competition and companionship.
We hold an Annual Golf Competitions at the AGM meeting.
(2024 venue is Redditch Golf Club, on 9th July 2024).
We also have annual Provincial matches against Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Monmouthshire, Shropshire & Warwickshire.

- To promote the competitive spirit of golf among the Masons of Worcestershire Lodges
- To hold an annual competition for the ‘Fellows Cup’ ‘Weatheroak Bowl’ and ‘Veterans Cup, ’C V Firminger Memorial Cup’ ‘Price Taylor Cup’ (9 holes for the over 80's)
- To hold annual golf matches against all the surrounding Provincial Golfing Societies.
- To select and enter the Worcestershire Provincial Team of 4 in the Midlands Masonic Golf Competition. Consists of 10 Provinces competing for the 'Battle Jug'.
- To hold such other golf meetings the Committee may decide from time to time.
- To raise funds for Chosen Charities.
At the Annual meeting, there is competition for the Fellows Bowl, Stableford, max course handicap 28. Plus the Weatheroak Bowl, a pairs competition. Your pair must be from the same Worcestershire Lodge (Any Order)
The Annual Letter that is sent to all members at the start of the season outlines the 2024 schedule.
